A test shell is sent to you to check the size, fit, and form. We'll set up a session with our supportive team to guide you through testing it.

4. myReflection Arrives
Once your model has been created, quality checked and beautifully packaged your prosthesis will be delivered to you.
We know that every person’s experience with breast cancer is different.
At myReflection, our goal is to support you on your journey after mastectomy, no matter what that looks like for you. Some people prefer to stay flat-chested, some opt for breast reconstruction surgery, some wear mastectomy bras. Others might decide to wait for reconstruction later on.
Prostheses can be a good choice for both short-term and long-term needs, whether you've had a single or double mastectomy.
We're here to provide you with options and answer any questions you might have about custom prostheses.
Your 3D Scan
We understand you may be anxious for the scanning process or have questions. Fay will take you through what to expect for your 3D fitting consultation and how to prepare for it.
Test it out
After your 3D scan, our brilliant team will get to work modelling a prosthesis custom to you. We send you a test shell to check for it’s fit. This is a temporary prosthesis that mimics the shape of your actual prosthesis. One of our friendly team will call you to check in - at this stage we can make any changes to ensure your new prosthesis will fit comfortably and look natural before we commit to making the final prosthesis in our comfortable, realistic material. This is your opportunity to tell us what feels best for you, so that we can make adjustments. Does the test shell feel too big? Too small? The technician will guide you through this process to make sure it fits correctly and perfect to you.
Our manufacturing team will use your test shells and updated models to create your very own, custom-crafted breast prostheses - Scanned from you, formed to you.
Our hope and dream is that your prosthesis feels like an extension of you.

Here you will see Fay cover off the scanning procedure, bra types and why it is important to bring the correctly fitted bra to your scan. You can use a sports bra if this is the style of bra that you wear all the time. However, if you only wear a sports bra when you are doing exercise please wear your other bra for your scan.

You can use either, as long as the bra is comfortable for you. However please be aware that the shape each of these bras give you is very different. Therefore, the bra you are scanned in is the form that we will use to make your finished prosthesis. If you change from an underwire to a non-underwired bra you may get a very different shape and could find your prosthesis doesn’t fit as well with this change in bra style.

myReflection 3D prosthesis is designed and crafted for non-prosthesis bras. We do understand that some ladies may have just purchased a mastectomy bra and would prefer this option but we request you bring a non-mastectomy bra to your scan.
If you wish to be scanned in a mastectomy bra we are able to do this for you, however, you need to be aware that it has to be correctly fitted to you and it can’t be an old worn-out bra. Also if you change your bra from a mastectomy to a non-mastectomy bra further down the line we can’t guarantee that the prosthesis will fit as well in the non-mastectomy bra. If you do change your bra style we offer a rescan where we will scan you in your new bra style.
